I absolutely love every chance I get to work with the amazing Kelley family! I have had the joy and honor of photographing both of their sweet little ones homecomings, and it's been so wonderful getting to watch this family grow right in front of my camera! And even though I've recently relocated to the DFW area, they made the return trip to East Texas so well worth it with these beautiful images!
This year, we ended up shooting on a particularly gorgeous, but very chilly day. Neither Jefferson nor Waverly was all that happy about being out in the cold, but they weathered it wonderfully with a little help and and lots of snuggles from Mom and Dad. Jefferson wasn't too sure what to think about me and my camera, but big sister Waverly knew exactly how to make my camera happy with her pretty little smiles! She even tried so hard to show her little brother how to pose juuuust right! I can't wait to work with this gorgeous family again! ♥

"A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms, when his hands are empty." One of the greatest joys in my life is being a mother. The second greatest is getting to watch my husband be a father. I love seeing that certain brightness in his eyes that only his kids can put there.
I take photos constantly of our children, and I've even made it a priority to make sure I'm in more photos with them as well. It dawned on me though that I needed to make sure that he existed in photos with them too, for the same reasons I do. He is the backbone of this family, our support. And I think far too often that is taken for granted and underappreciated. We're so busy running around from one thing to another, making art, taking lessons, playing games, shopping and having fun... all the while, he is in the background, ensuring we are able to do all these things we love, just being happy that we're happy. I hate the idea of waiting for one designated (over-commercialized) day in June to celebrate what an amazing father he is. My husband is an awesome dad all year round, and I just wanted to remind him and the world of just how great I think he is, on this random Sunday. ♥ It is always a perfect day to appreciate the remarkable father in your life! Dads, want to book a session with your kids? Or maybe, Mom, you want to gift an incredible Dad with a session to show him how important he is to you and your children? Send me a message and let's make it happen! Becky and Myla have been two of my favorite clients for a few years now and I always love getting a message from Becky saying "Hey girl! I need some photos!". I know that means I am in for a fabulously fun time! So I was extra excited when she messaged me and said "There's more of us now! I need some new family photos!" I enjoyed meeting Matt and his two adorable boys, Thomas and William. We all had a blast checking out the ducks, racing through the trees, and capturing this beautifully blended family! There is obviously so much love between them all. I can't wait until our next session! (did someone mention superheros?! ;) )

Just over 2 wonderful years ago, I was honored to be able to photograph a very sweet, beautiful little newborn girl, Waverly, when she came home after roughly 2 months in the NICU. It is still one of my very favorite sessions, and I just fell in love with the entire family. I have been so fortunate to be able to photograph this family as they have grown, and most recently, I was once again invited to photograph their newest little addition, handsome baby boy Jefferson. He was an absolute perfect little angel for the entire session. And big sister Waverly was terrific as well! Jefferson already has such a fiercely loyal and loving protector in her. Mom Chesley and Dad Terrence are so amazing, and it's so obvious how much love is in their home. I am already looking forward to our next session together! ♥ Even though my speciality may be in tweens and teens, I still take on a few Family sessions each year in the fall.
Vanessa, James and sweet little Eli were one of those families, and we had such a blast! I loved getting to step back for a moment and just watch this adorable little family play and interact together on the playground. Eli just LOVED going down the slide, over and over again! And he couldn't stop laughing and smiling while flying high on the swings! He was a little less interested when we moved away from the playground to do some more focused family shots, but we still managed to get a smile or two from him! I still have a few openings left for family sessions this fall. It's the perfect time of year to update those family photos, so let's talk! |
