I absolutely love every chance I get to work with the amazing Kelley family! I have had the joy and honor of photographing both of their sweet little ones homecomings, and it's been so wonderful getting to watch this family grow right in front of my camera! And even though I've recently relocated to the DFW area, they made the return trip to East Texas so well worth it with these beautiful images!
This year, we ended up shooting on a particularly gorgeous, but very chilly day. Neither Jefferson nor Waverly was all that happy about being out in the cold, but they weathered it wonderfully with a little help and and lots of snuggles from Mom and Dad. Jefferson wasn't too sure what to think about me and my camera, but big sister Waverly knew exactly how to make my camera happy with her pretty little smiles! She even tried so hard to show her little brother how to pose juuuust right! I can't wait to work with this gorgeous family again! ♥

Life with a toddler is always an adventure! I had so much fun spending a day out in downtown Dallas with sweet, rambunctious 2.5 year old Vera Lynn recently! Like any toddler, she is go go go!
We started the day with a quick stop into her favorite coffee shop "Bucks" to make sure mom and I had the energy to keep up with her! And of course we had to grab a few photos in front of the infamous "I love tacos so much" graffiti. Then we hopped on the M-Line Trolley where she got to help the conductor push the peddle to make the bell ring, letting everyone know she was coming through. She loved looking out the window and pointing out all the dogs we passed by! Not one to sit still long, by the time we got close to Klyde Warren Park, Vera was ready to get off and do a little walking around. She loved racing back and forth in front of the mosaic mural at the Dallas Museum of Art and looking up at all the tall buildings around us! A quick outfit change, and Vera was more than ready to splash around in the fountains at Klyde Warren. Luckily, it was still more than warm enough to be lots of fun! Then we headed over to Whole Foods for a little snack. Vera very much enjoyed her chocolate chip cookie! Finally, we got back on the M-Line and headed back to our starting point. Vera found a paper someone had left behind and enjoyed "reading" it while we rode along! I can't wait for our next day out adventure! The city is so full of wonder and possibilities! Interested in booking an adventurous Day In The Life session for you and your family? Send me a message and let's talk! I was so excited when Janie messaged me about shooting a newborn lifestyle session for their new little bundle of sweetness, Max! I had a blast shooting their motocross engagement session two years ago, and so I knew their newborn lifestyle session would be just as amazing. And it certainly didn't disappoint!
I loved getting to capture this sweet little family in their beautiful home, as they shared just a peek of their day-to-day in the first weeks of life with a newborn. And of course, their crazy, hilarious, loving fur-babies had to join in as well! Janie and Chance are so amazing, and it's incredibly obvious how so very loved sweet baby Max is. I'm already looking forward to our next session together! ♥ I love love love pumpkin season! Those big, bright orange veggies just make me smile any time I see them! So I thought the perfect way to celebrate the new month is with a throwback to a session from last year, with sweet little baby Roland and his first visit to the pumpkin patch!
This adorable little guy is a year old now, and a big brother, but I still love how wonderful and bright our visit to the Calie's Acre in Longview turned out! Interested in scheduling a trip to a pumpkin patch for your family? Book your session today!! Having a best friend means having someone to laugh with, to grow with, to share with, and in some cases, to wear tutus and be awesome with. I had an absolute blast hanging out with Azriel and Klover in downtown Southlake, Texas, as they drank coffee, gossiped, laughed, and just hung out! They are a perfect balance of personalities, bringing out their very best and always reminding each other that no matter what, someone is always there for them when life gets hard. Azriel and Klover are the ultimate #friendgoals. ;)
Want to book a session for you and your besties? Let's make it happen! "A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms, when his hands are empty." One of the greatest joys in my life is being a mother. The second greatest is getting to watch my husband be a father. I love seeing that certain brightness in his eyes that only his kids can put there.
I take photos constantly of our children, and I've even made it a priority to make sure I'm in more photos with them as well. It dawned on me though that I needed to make sure that he existed in photos with them too, for the same reasons I do. He is the backbone of this family, our support. And I think far too often that is taken for granted and underappreciated. We're so busy running around from one thing to another, making art, taking lessons, playing games, shopping and having fun... all the while, he is in the background, ensuring we are able to do all these things we love, just being happy that we're happy. I hate the idea of waiting for one designated (over-commercialized) day in June to celebrate what an amazing father he is. My husband is an awesome dad all year round, and I just wanted to remind him and the world of just how great I think he is, on this random Sunday. ♥ It is always a perfect day to appreciate the remarkable father in your life! Dads, want to book a session with your kids? Or maybe, Mom, you want to gift an incredible Dad with a session to show him how important he is to you and your children? Send me a message and let's make it happen! After my amazing session with Lily last year in May, and their sweet little Christmas Mini session last December, I've been anxiously awaiting my next session with this awesome brother and sister! They both rock their own unique personalities, and they let them shine bright! The love between big brother Conner and little sister Lily is obvious right away. Conner listens with true interest to all of Lily's stories, and they both are so comfortable being silly and sweet. I am just in love with their whole session!
Would you like to capture that special sibling bond between your own children? Let's talk and book your session today! "A good friend knows all your best stories. A best friend has lived them with you."
Our friends are such an important part of our lives. They celebrate our joys, mourn our losses, and make the everyday mundane seem a bit brighter and more fun, just by simply being around. I so so so enjoyed getting a chance to capture Azriel, Klover, Zoe, and Morgan as they celebrated the end of Middle School and the start of their last summer before High School! These four girls are such amazing and supportive friends. It's easy to tell they care a great deal about each other. And their four very different and distinct personalities compliment each other oh so well! We started off with some coffee, cheesecake, and lots of laughs at the Southlake Barnes and Noble. Then we wandered the shops around the Southlake town square, spending plenty of extra time at Claires of course! Check out the fun below! Want to book a BFF session for your child and their friends? Or maybe even just one for you and your friends!! Let's talk! Becky and Myla have been two of my favorite clients for a few years now and I always love getting a message from Becky saying "Hey girl! I need some photos!". I know that means I am in for a fabulously fun time! So I was extra excited when she messaged me and said "There's more of us now! I need some new family photos!" I enjoyed meeting Matt and his two adorable boys, Thomas and William. We all had a blast checking out the ducks, racing through the trees, and capturing this beautifully blended family! There is obviously so much love between them all. I can't wait until our next session! (did someone mention superheros?! ;) )

Just over 2 wonderful years ago, I was honored to be able to photograph a very sweet, beautiful little newborn girl, Waverly, when she came home after roughly 2 months in the NICU. It is still one of my very favorite sessions, and I just fell in love with the entire family. I have been so fortunate to be able to photograph this family as they have grown, and most recently, I was once again invited to photograph their newest little addition, handsome baby boy Jefferson. He was an absolute perfect little angel for the entire session. And big sister Waverly was terrific as well! Jefferson already has such a fiercely loyal and loving protector in her. Mom Chesley and Dad Terrence are so amazing, and it's so obvious how much love is in their home. I am already looking forward to our next session together! ♥ |
